Cemeterio de Trenes

3 km outside of Uyuni is the train cometary, home to a large collection of rusting steam locomotives dating back to the 1940s. Though there has been talk of turning the cemetery into a bona fide train museum, no action has been taken to do so. Many tours make their first stop at the cemetery before heading on to the salt flats, but if yours doesn't, you can visit it on your own.
