From May to July, average temperatures in Uyuni can drop to -40 degrees Fahrenheit, so its important to find lodging that can protect you from the bitter cold. Note that some accommodations in Uyuni offer hot water all day long, others don't. Those on the pricier end of the spectrum offer in-room heating. If you are arriving to Uyuni via train and pull in at odd hours, best to try one of several cheap options closest to the station.
