The majority of travelers itching to experience the Salar de Uyuni opt for a 4-day, 6-person Jeep trek, with stops along various natural highlights, and nights spent at very basic accommodations along the way. Uyuni has some 80 tour operators heading to the Salar, offering services of varying quality and reliability, so shop around before settling on your choice. The following is a list of agencies that have received good reports from travelers. It is also a good idea to consult with Ranking Bolivia, a tourist information office in Uyuni which keeps a database of traveler's opinions of their trips to the salar.
