Hostal Carmen

The entrance hall to the Carmen is like a massive living room–sofas and TVs and equally massive potted plants. The rooms are clean, spacious and tastefully decorated and the bathrooms are big, sparkling and have hot water. This place is great value for the money. There’s a travel agent on site and they also offer budget rooms on the top floor or a suite complete with its own kitchen, terrace and work desk.

Traveler Reviews of Hostal Carmen

An excellent place

There's so much you can say about Hostal Carmen in Tarija, (The Smile Capital of Bolivia), but let's sum it all up saying that it is a family friendly place for the businessman, the adventurous traveler or the major sightseer, at an affordable price with an excellent service.

Nice place to stay

At times it is a bit noisy, but overall a great place to stay. Their breakfasts are the best in Tarija, a true breakfast buffet, you can eat all you want. Plus, there's a very friendly familiar atmosphere.
