You can pretty much get around the city-centre on foot. Local buses ply the main roads but are a little hard to navigate without knowing the routes - ask a local to point you in the right direction. If you want to get somewhere quickly just grab a taxi, they only cost roughly $0.25 around the center, and a tiny bit more farther afield. All street numbers west of Calle Colón have a small o before the number (oeste) and those east of this street an e (este). Streets running north from Avenida Las Américas have an n before the street number (norte).
