A short bus ride out of the city center, this is where chapacos go for fish. The signature dish comes on a massive fish-shaped wooden platter and at first glance it seems like there’s nothing on your plate except a whopping great big fish and a lone potato. aLook closer, you’ll find some choclo (corn) hidden underneath. It tastes delicious and even picking out the bones becomes therapeutic after a while. The high, reed-covered roof, animal skin on the walls, smoky-wooden smell and chacarera music give the place a rustic, authentic feel and transports you out to the Chaco plains. There’s live peña music on the weekends.
