The Southwest: Salt-flats, Colored Lakes and Vineyards Hotels
In Southwest Bolivia, places to visit are plentiful and places to sleep are modest but cheap. In locations such as the mining city of Oruro, hostels cost as little as $2 per person, per night. Tupiza and Tarija are also great places to visit for adventurers looking to explore Southwest Bolivia by horseback or indulge in the vineyards of Bolivia. Hostels here are cheap, too, usually between $4 and $8 per person, per night. Southwest Bolivia may seem like a steal, but remember that during Carnaval prices more than double.
