With more character than any other Tupiza hotel, the Hostel Coronel Pedro Arraya and Tours offers both accommodation and (go figure) tours . When you first walk in you will probably notice the giant western mural painted on the stairs and a helpful city map graffitied on the side wall. If you stay awhile, you will notice much more. The rooms are new, as the hotel is just three years old--and depending on which you rent, you may have cable TV, hot, gas-powered showers and impeccably clean bathrooms. The best feature, however, are the extremely comfortable mattresses, which are as good as those in Western hotels. You can choose from among single and double rooms, as well as shared and private bathrooms, and guests can use the communal kitchen. Breakfast is not included, but can be purchased for 10 Bs. (Continental) or 15 Bs. (American).
