Tupiza is relatively small. Traveling by foot is the easiest and most economical way to get around. Plaza Independencia is the heart of the town, with amenities such as internet cafés, restaurants and the post office close by. The bus station is located near many hotels and hostels, and is only a 5-minute walk from the center of town.
Taxis are a cheap and useful method of transport for exploring surrounding areas. There are many located on the main square, or at the bus and train terminals. Be sure to negotiate a price before you start the journey.
