Unfortunately Tupiza has very few restaurants. Most are in the center and offer standard, international menus that mainly consist of pizza and pasta. If visitors are lucky, however, they may find a few places serving local specialties such as tamales made with spiced llama meat. Note that there are few restaurants that serve breakfast before 10 a.m., so if going on an early tour it is best to take some food with you or buy it beforehand. The market offers cheap eats and is located on the first floor of the building on the corners of Calle Chichas and Florida.
