By Terra Group

Tour operator Terra Brazil (www.terra-brazil.com) proposes a responsible tourism.

During their stay in Rio, we encourage our customers to include in their programme, a guided tour of the Rio favelas. The idea is to change the image usually portrayed in the favelas, giving value to their people and revealing the reality of neighborhoods.

We also strive to develop tourism opportunities in isolated areas such as the Ecological Reserve Joatinga near Paraty. This fishermen population suffers from the constraints linked to the classification of their living area in ecological reserve and the intensification of industrial fishing. The young generation leaves the region. Ecotourism is a real alternative, if properly implemented. For 5 years, we have established itineraries and treks and we are taking groups of hikers who consume locally nights, meals, and guide services.
