Leblon Beach
In the heart of Rio, Leblon Beach is a charming beach (located next to Ipanema ) packed with exclusive hotels, restaurants, bars and boutiques. The beach is popular during the day with families, especially for Baixo Baby, a play area with toys and activities for kids. At night Leblon's bars come to life, with a younger crowd taking hold as the sun goes down.
One word of caution: be aware that favela (community) Vidigal is nearby. Known for its seedy sections, it's best to avoid venturing too far off the beaten path, particularly at night.
