Centrally located in the Botafogo neighborhood, within walking distance of Rio’s main attractions, and not far from its best beaches, the Sun Rio is a pleasant family run hostel that aims to make anyone’s stay in Rio a comfortable one. The friendly, English speaking staff can provide tourist information, including Rio maps and guidebooks, as well as organize local tours and trips, such as city and boat tours, hang gliding, hiking, and samba and surf classes. Facilities include a fully equipped guest kitchen, cable TV, internet access, bike rental, and an onsite bar. A great option for anyone keen to hook up with other travelers, or learn a little more about the city.
