Middle Chile has accommodation to suit all budgets. Most accommodation is found in the bigger cities and towns, along the coast and in ski resorts. Viña del Mar and Valparaiso have hotels and hostels to suit all budgets. Summer (December to February) is the peak period and prices increase with demand. New Year’s Eve is particularly busy so if you plan to visit during the holidays try to book in advance. Generally accommodation in the ski resorts is quite expensive.
