Los Angeles is an unspectacular agricultural town without any true must-see places to make it worth a traveler's while to go out of their way to visit. The Plaza de Armas is typically nice, but not extraordinary. The Museo de la Alta Frontera offers an impressive display of Mapuche silver and admission is free. Salto del Laja is close to the highway and worth a glance on your way to Concepción. The highlight of Los Angeles is 20km north at El Rincon. Its riverside location in a beautiful, quiet setting makes it an ideal place to relax for several days.
