The Museo de la Alta Frontera has made its name on the fascinating and astonishing collection of traditional Mapuche silver ornaments and jewelry. The museum has 600 pieces in its collection, though not all are on display at once. Try to visit the museum in January or February when there is a possibility to see a local Mapuche woman modeling the items at the museum.
