Surf Hostal - Hostel Pichilemu - Chile

Dutchman Marcel Janssen opened this pleasant hostal across the street from Playa Infiernillo in January of 2007, and it does not disappoint. Surf Hostal is away from the noise and crowds but still a short 10-minute walk to popular restaurants on Anibal Pinto. Each room is equipped with feathered pillows, a private bathroom with 24-hour hot water and shower heads with fantastic water pressure - a rarity in South America - so the hostel can arguably boast the best showers in Chile. There are no TVs in the rooms, but there is WiFi for those with laptops. Guests are also welcome to use the Internet in Janssen’s across-the-street restaurant El Puente Holandes, where hostel patrons also are served a complimentary breakfast.
