Getting to and away

Rancagua is serviced by both train and bus. From Santiago, the 45-minute ride by train cost CH$5,000 and drops passengers off on Av. Estacion, which is a short walk to the center of town. Trains run hourly from the capital to Rancagua. Trains north to Santiago cost CH$1,500 and also run hourly. It is also possible to travel to San Fernando, Talca, Curico and numerous other cities via train from Rancagua, though some routes require connections.

Buses run to and from the terminal at Salinas 1165, which is slightly north of the train terminal, and is serviced by an array of companies. Ticket prices to and from Santiago cost CH$3,500. Other destinations from Rancagua vary depending on distance and class of bus.
