
La Sebastiana is a perfect testament to Neruda’s love for objects and gives lovers of Neruda special insight into his poetry. Handpicked items from around the world fill this house, which was shared with two friends and partially designed by all three. Unlike La Chascona or Neruda’s Isla Negra home, visitors to La Sebastiana are not forced to take a guided tour. Instead, a written guide (available in multiple languages) leads visitors through each room, providing facts and snippets of Neruda’s life—including the recipe for his original cocktail, the Coquetelón.
