Hostal Pilcomayo - Hostel Valparaíso - Chile

This backpacker’s hostel is rough around the edges, but it’s an easy place to throw your pack after a long day. Dishes pile up in the shared kitchen, and there’s a single bathroom shared by all, but it’s not without its charms. The dorms and private rooms are clean, there’s a café downstairs (with a Sunday brunch), and the light-filled passageway gives the place a warm and welcoming feel. Also, the hostel’s prime location on top of Cerro Concepción places it on many travelers’ lists.
