Off the road down to Piedra del Indio is Cabañas Kooch, a small operation, with only two cabañas. Each of the stone and wood cabins has a kitchen, woodstove and cable TV. After dinner in the evening, you can watch the sunsets over the Río Simpson valley. The accommodation is open only from November to March. In the height of summer, though, the cabins are turned into hostels and let out per space (as in a dorm).
