Hospedaje Don Santiago may just be one of the better deals in Coyhaique. The large hostel is in a quieter part of the city. The rooms are fair sized. Few are for the single traveler; most for duets and trios. The bathrooms are clean. Even though breakfast isn’t included in the price of lodging and guests can’t use the kitchen, a thermos of hot water is available in the morning for you to make your own coffee or tea. Hospedaje Don Santiago may be only five blocks from the Plaza de Armas, but with Coyhaique’s pentagon grid, it’s over 10 blocks from the main bus terminal.
