As in other Chilean cities, Coyhaique has micros (city buses, $0.60) and colectivo taxis ($0.80) that run on set routes throughout the urban area. There are also radio, or regular, taxis. Pura Patagonia rents bikes for $20 per day (Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-7 p.m. General Parra 240, Tel.: 24-6000). Don Carlos has a bike repair shop and sells bicycle parts (Simpson 231, Tel.: 24-6713).

Car rental is higher in the Patagonia than in other parts of Chile.
