On the Plaza de Armas, between Horn and Dussen, is an artisan market. Like a small village of log cabins, these two dozen shops sell jewelry, wood, leather and woolen crafts. Some artesanías are of very high quality and originality. Another place to pick up artisan work is the Feria Artesanos del Ovejero, next to the Casa de la Cultura (Calle Lillo 23).

Suray has everything for fishing, from flies to waders. It also sells fishing licenses (Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Suray (Prat 265-269, Tel.: 23-4088). La Trucha also has a wide selection of fishing gear, plus some camping equipment (Prat 637, Tel.: 08-407-7645, www.portalcoyhaique.cl/pescaconmosca/tienda.html). Condor Explorer carries Patagonia brand clothing, and MSR stove parts and equipment (Dussen 357, Tel.: 57-3634, E-mail: info@condorexplorer.com). The North Face also has a store in Coyhaique (Paseo Horn 47, Tel.: 25-2096, E-mail: tiendatnfcoyhaique@komax.cl, URL: www.thenorthface.com/sa). These shops stock camp stove gas canisters and a wide selection of other camping gear: Casa Alicia (Condell 150), Homecenter Sodimac (Avenida Ogana 869).
