Getting to and away from Parque Nacional Queulat

Parque Nacional Queulat's Sector Angostura is 40 kilometers (24 miles) north of Puerto Puyuhuapi. The southern sectors begin 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Puyuhuapi village (unpaved), or 165 kilometers (99 miles) north of Coyhaique (125 km / 75 miles are paved). During the summer months the Carretera Austral may close for part of the day Monday-Saturday for roadwork. Consult the tourism offices in the region for more information.

For Sector Angostura: From Puyuhuapi, take any bus heading to La Junta or other northern destination and hop off. For Sectors Ventisquero and Portazuelo, any Puyuhuapi-Coyhaique bus will get you there. Sector Ventisquero can be done as a day trip from Puyuhuapi.
