Cruising From Scl To San Pedro De Atacama 2 Days

Location:
Chile

From Fall to Spring

After all the natural disasters that any country with such an amazing landscape, with mountains, lakes, beaches and valleys, Chile always will be worth to visit without fear. Chile, a short word, but a country with multiple contrasts, counts with 15 Regions. So not all is the same, not all the seasons are equal between each city. Depends a lot with how close the sea is, the Andes Mountains are, or the coast mountains are too. The Metropolitan Region, where we will start the trip and cruise by van toward the upper part, Northern Chile, is a region with many attractions to start our adventure.
Historically counts with unbelieaveble architecture and multicultural influences on its displayed parks and avenues. Once we leave this nice city, we will drive towards the 4th region. They call it the Star Region, Coquimbo. The reason, for sure correctly given, is that it counts with the clearest sky in the world, which means for the astronomers, the most attractive place to settle with Observatories and start the startrek of the universe. Many places you can visit are such as the boarder coastline, the town where you can find local crafts, the resorts, beautiful, the local products to try such as the "papaya" which is canned or put into a glass jar to be opened for desert. The valleys nearby that are on the way to the Mamalluca Observatory are the Elqui Valley which has a beautiful countryside view of grapes that are ready to produce the local drink called Pisco. Once we get to the town of Vicuña, here we stay to take the night tour at the Observatory mentioned. Once the tour ends, we will continue our trip towards Copiapo. Here in this city, not maybe so fancy, but yet the first mining city in Chile where the biggest mining projects started to develop, counts with a small museum that holds different mineral rocks that are from the different products that Chile has. Special for archeology lovers. We drive now to Caldera and literally the landscape starts to change, into dry, rocky and of course, desert. Last views of beaches on the way until we get to Antofagasta. This city also is very attractive for its increadible archologic richness and mineral exploiting. We will drive toward the city and tour at the city simbol, La Portada de Antofagasta, that is close to the airport. Here you will find the most increadible natural rock portrait naturally carved by the erosion, wind and birds. It now has a museum that holds lots of acheologic pieces interesting to see and of course keep some nice pics from the increadible view. From Antofagasta we will drive ahead to Calama. Here is where we will get close to the amazing San Pedro. Once on the highway, you will see the most increadible rock formation feeling like in another dimention. Truely colourful and beautiful. San Pedro is the oasis in this dryest desert in the world. Once arriving to the town, we will find many restaurants and gift shops. Some recommended. The adventure starts here where most of the communities that live here controle the national parks, will allow you to enter to the most increadible views of this land. The Miscanti volcano, the Salt Lake of Chaxas, the community of Toconao and the ruins of Pucara de Quitor, the Tatio Geisers and so on for which you will need at least 5 days to explore all of these places and get some rest in between too. Here, is where the trip ends and once it ends, you will never forget the places you viewed. And to make it lighter fly back to Santiago.
