The island's Catholic Church overlooks Hanga Roa from a small hill on the northern side of town. Inside, intricate wood carvings combine Rapa Nui culture and Christian traditions. There's also a particularly interesting Sunday morning service in the Rapa Nui language. Everyone's invited and it has been known to get quite lively.
