Stunning scenery and wildlife abound in the Chilean section of Patagonia. From the sub-Antarctic Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, across the Beagle Channel to Puerto Williams, and the Fjords of Fuegia, Chilean Patagonia is characterized by rugged mountain chains, islands floating on inland seas, and a network of massive glaciers and ice fields spread across pristine forests. The most popular traveler spot is Torres del Paine, which can be accessed from nearby Puerto Natales. The region offers a variety of adventure and nature tours, including hiking and trekking, climbing, horseback riding, kayaking, and birdwatching. Tours can be organized in Puerto Natales and Punto Arenas, or across the border in Ushuaia.
