Famous for its dramatic scenery and wealth of wildlife, Parque Nacional Torres del Paine offers an astounding number of hiking, trekking and climbing routes, as well as plenty of time to check out the park's 105 species of birds, and 25 species of mammals. From ultramarine lakes to rugged peaks and ice fields, spread across 181,414 hectares, the park offers vistors an ever-changing panorama. Popular hiking and trekking circuits include El Circuito, The W, The Valley of the Rio del Francés, and others which wind up the Río Pingo Valley, to the base of Torres del Paine, or onto Laguna Verde, Laguna Azul and Lago Paine.
