After arrival in Punta Arenas , the capital city of Patagonia, we visited the penguin colony at Seno Otway and then we continued our trip to Puerto Natales. Next day we were already in the Torres del Paine national park, where we did some beautiful hikes the coming days from one highlight to the next. We were able to admire the huge Grey glacier, the French valley as well as the famous three granite towers from which the Torres del Paine national park obtained its name. More than 100 different bird species, guanacos, foxes, the Patagonian deer as well as pumas can be observed in their natural habitat. Many times we were in company of the majestic condor, flying above us. After these unforgettable impressions we went back to Puerto Natales and the next day to Punta Arenas airport.

This was our most spectacular hiking trip we ever did. We are pretty sure that one day we will come back to see more of this amazing place at the end of the world.

Getting There
From Santiago by plane or from Santiago to Puerto Montt an then by ferry (4 day-trip) to Puerto Natales.

You Need to Bring: It is recomended to bring rain- and wind gear, sun blocker, hiking poles, hiking boots, sun glases, daypack 35l-45l and a sleeping bag.

To See and Do: From Punta Arenas you can got by plane to Navarino Island - the southern most trekking on earth or you can go by bus to argentina to do a hike at the Fitz Roy - massif.
