Casa Mawenco is an adorable hostel perfect for young travelers looking for budget accommodations. The owner, who speak English, have put their heart and soul into the multiple rooms, giving it an artsy, eclectic appeal. Casa Mawenco is more like staying at a good friend’s house than a hostel. The owners are very knowledgeable about the local happenings and are great at helping direct guests to unknown excursions or good nighttime entertainment. The location is situated on a pedestrian walkway minutes from the city center and is ideal for stumbling home from a night on the town. Smoking is allowed in the common areas.
