Viña Concha y Toro

Viña Concha y Toro is the largest and best-known winery in Chile. The grapevines here originally came from France when local politician and businessman Don Melchor Concha y Toro planted the Bordeaux product on these beautiful grounds in Pirque. The tour includes a couple of glasses of wine, a viewing of “El Diablo” and you get to keep your glass at the end of the tour. Be sure to call in advance to reserve a spot.

Viña Santa Rita

Viña Santa Rita is located in the village of Alto Jahuel, south of Santiago. The vineyard was founded in 1880 by Domingo Fernández Concha, and today produces some of the best wines in the nation. There is a fine restaurant and museum on-site as well, which are both included in the tour. Reservations can be made by filling out an online form.

Viña Santa Carolina

Viña Santa Carolina is especially nice for those that do not have much time to stray from the capital but still want to visit a winery. It’s located in the neighborhood of Macul, just a 15 minute walk from Metro Rodrigo de Araya (Línea 5). The vineyards themselves are located in the valleys of Cachapoal, Colchagua, and Casablanca.

Viña Undurraga

This winery was founded in 1885 by Francisco Undurraga. It is located approximately 30 kilometers (18 mi) southwest of Santiago on old Melipilla Highway between Talagante and Peñaflor.

Viña Cousiño Macul

Viña Cousiño Macul is located within the city limits of Santiago in the southeastern neighborhood of Peñalolén, and is one of the nation’s oldest wineries. By subway, take Línea 4 to the Quilín stop and walk for about 30 minutes east on Quilín Avenue, or take a taxi.

Viña De Martino

Viña De Martino was founded in 1934 by Pietro De Martino and is located only 50 kilometers (31 mi) from Santiago in beautiful Isla del Maipo (between the Andes and the Pacific Ocean). Tours begin in the wine shop where a bilingual guide explains aging, bottling and other aspects of wine making. The tour then moves into the tasting room.
