Despite its prominent sign, complete with a picture of a gondola, Restaurant Venezia is not a typical Italian restaurant. Alongside pasta and seafood selections, the menu includes many local dishes such as lomo a lo pobre (steak with French fries and a fried egg). The establishment is popular with locals, many of whom gather around the full bar. The cloth napkins seem a bit out of place amid the shabby silverware and condiments in plastic bottles. There is a separate dining room in back which allows smoking, but both spaces have similar furnishings, a casual atmosphere and quick service.
