Iglesia de los Sacramentinos - Historical Building Santiago - Chile

The huge Iglesia de los Sacramentinos (The Church of the Blessed Sacrament) overlooks Parque Diego de Almagro and makes for a good photo opportunity. Work started on the Roman Byzantine basilica in 1912 under the command of architect Ricardo Larrain Bravo and was completed in 1931. The church was declared a national monument in 1991. Iglesia de los Sacramentinos is a copy of the Sacré Coeur, but lacks the splendid location of its Parisian rival.
