The Museo Arqueológico (MAS) is located next to the Museo de Artes Visuales (MAVI) in Barrio Lastarria. The museum has a collection of textiles, ceramics, jewelry, indigenous carvings and everyday artifacts from the pre-Columbian era. Highlights include the Chinchorro mummy and the tablets used by religious leaders to sniff hallucinogenic drugs. The museum is small and everything can easily be seen in under an hour. Open 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Closed Monday.
