Situated in Santiago Oriente or East Santiago, Las Condes is one of the most modern and stylish of all Santiago’s councils. This upmarket neighborhood covers an area of 99.4 km2 and is home to Santiago’s business and financial district.
The wide tree-lined avenues of Isidora Goyenechea, El Bosque Norte and Apoquindo are filled with steel and glass skyscrapers and five star hotels, though the quieter side streets host modern apartment blocks.
This area doesn’t offer much by the way of history, but it does present an interesting glimpse into how the middle class live, work and play.
