Despite being Santiago’s most exclusive area, Las Condes hosts a range of restaurants to suit every budget. There are several fine dining establishments for rich gringos, especially around Isidora Goyenechea. Look a little deeper and you’ll find more affordable places catering to the thousands of hungry office workers.
Restaurants in Las Condes tend to be crowded at lunchtime (1-3 p.m.) and many either close or sit empty in the afternoon. Those serving alcohol pick up again when the offices close.
Don’t be put off by lines, if it’s popular with the locals it’s likely you’ll enjoy it too.
Many restaurants have terraces for al fresco dining and serve real coffee.
