It can be hard to find good sushi in Santiago, but Akai delivers some of the tastiest and freshest sushi around, at a very reasonable price. Make sure you pay in cash, as the prices double if you pay by credit card.
Akai is open for lunch from 1:00 p.m. - 3 p.m., and dinner is served from 7:00 p.m. - 11:15 p.m. The work crowd invades this place from 1:00 p.m. so make sure you get there early to avoid waiting for a table.
There are smoking and non-smoking areas, and a terrace for al fresco dining. No alcohol is served.
