Hostel
Only a block from busy Providencia, this converted 1930s house is a surprisingly tranquil hostel. Paintings by local artists decorate the walls, and the original staircase and large wooden doors give the place a very classic, dignified atmosphere. The spacious kitchen, comfortable common area and light-filled patio are big draws for any guests.
But, it is the owners’ eagerness to create a sense of community among their guests that leads many to pick Ají. On various days the hostel has different promotions, like on Mondays, free Pisco sours; Wednesdays, free pasta dinner and Fridays, an at-cost barbeque.
A new addition, a café, is in the works for late 2008.
