Hostal de Sammy, which is named after the owner’s late pet dog, is a backpackers dream. A hostel set in a huge house in Santiago; it holds every amenity one could ever imagine. A kitchen which serves breakfast every morning (included in the price of a room), a dining room, a living room with a TV, DVD player and video game system, a game room with a pool and ping pong table, and a laundry room which residents can use for free.

There are single, double, and dorm room available, none have private bathrooms. Prices run from $10-$16 dollars, with discounts offered to those who stay for more than six days. There are also monthly rates available.
