Hotel Castilla

Although the building, which dates from the 1920s, is well maintained, Hotel Castilla is gloomy inside. The beds are tired and have seen better days. The staff are not quick to help, but warm up with some coaxing. Castilla’s biggest draw is its great location at the base of Cerro San Cristobal, near the zoo and steps away from countless bars and restaurants. It is one of cheapest options in terms of a private room and bath within Barrio Bellavista. The hotel also doubles as a by-the-hour motel.
