Hotel

By Erin Helland

Don’t let the dingy lobby of Hotel Foresta scare you, it is a great budget lodging option in Santiago. The rooms are fairly spacious and clean, their odd mismatched antique furniture is endearing rather than tacky. Plus their staff is friendly and very accommodating. On the roof there is a restaurant and bar that offer a stunning view of the surrounding area. Rooms run from about $20 per night. All rooms have private bathrooms.

The Hotel Foresta is a charming place to stay. It is comfortable, and the location is central, located at the foot of the Santa Lucia. The staff are helpful.
