Magallanes is the part of Southern Patagonia most tourists visit. The centrally located capital, Punta Arenas, is a convenient hub for getting to Puerto Natales and Parque Nacional Torres del Paine to the west, Parque Nacional Pali Aike and Seno Otway penguin colony to the north, the end of the continent at Cabo Froward and mythical Tierra del Fuego to the east.
