With the new-found adventure tourism boom in and around the Puerto Natales, all types of lodgings can be found at all levels of comfort. Arriving in Puerto Natales by bus, you will instantly notice the new big hotels that are starting to fill the skyline at the waterfront. You will also be approached by locals offering cheap single beds in their homes and very simple hospedajes.
During high season (Nov-March) it's best to make a reservation for hostels and mid-range bed & breakfasts ahead of time, but finding a bed at one of the luxury hotels isn’t as hard. A budget, no-frills hostel can be found as cheap as $7 per night. For a hostel with park info, internet and a restaurant that serves breakfast, you'll pay closer to $15 per night. Numerous hostels, hotels and bed & breakfasts can be found just by walking the downtown streets of Baquedano & Blanco Encalada, and Bulnes & Eberhard.

In the low season (May-September) deep discounts on hotels may be negotiated on most hostels. Also call ahead to confirm your hotel is open as some hotels close down for some or all of the low season. It's also extremely cold during thelow season. Central heating is optimal, but many hotels use kerosene space heaters. Before you check in, confirm that your room has adequate heating to survive the Patagonian winter!
