If you’re looking for a relaxing base before or after a trek in Torres del Paine, there is no better place to lay your head or fill your stomach than the Singing Lamb. The owner Susan does a spectacular job of making guests feel very at home in her beautifully-kept hostel. Guests rave about her delicious breakfasts of eggs and homemade bread and jams, and although the two dorms are on the larger side, they are quiet and very clean, with spotless bathrooms. Ask her to show you around her garden, where she is proudly growing many of her own herbs and vegetables, and which displays an enormous whale bone dug up right there. There is also a very comfortable living room and always a jigsaw to help complete. Eco-friendly Susan also composts, recycles and provides you with cloth bags with which to do your shopping or to take your laundry. With all of this, and free WiFi and internet, included in the price, it is a great value sanctuary to look forward to going back to while away on that trek. Highly recommended.
