Within the park boundaries of Torres del Paine you can find a variety of services varying from VIP/exclusive to backpacker services. Phones and Internet can be used at some of the hosterias and refugios. The hosterias are high-class lodging, whereas refugios are furnished with basic bunks. Trekkers can rent some equipment from the refugios in the park, such as tents, sleeping bags and mattresses. They cost twice as much as in Puerto Natales, but you don't have to lug it between huts. You are not allowed to take this refugio equipment with you to the free campsites (where there are no services), which means if you rent from the refugios, you can only go from refugio to refugio. You can also camp at the refugios with your own equipment without a reservation. This costs roughly $8 USD per person (not per tent). Hot meals can be purchased at the refugios for about the same price as a restaurant in town. Hot showers can be found at the refugios, as well as water, bathrooms and some store items.
