Even though Porvenir has a dozen hotels, lodging can be hard to find. In the summer months, tourists fill them quickly after the ferry arrives. Advance reservations are highly advised. Once autumn comes, cheaper options are occupied by workers. If arriving autumn to spring, you might have to budget more for your stay. Some families rent rooms in their homes.
