Hostería Yendegaia

Another one of Porvenir’s historic houses, this time the mansion of Croatian immigrant Doimo Tafra Popovic which was built in 1926, has become an inn. Vicente Couve, son of the famed Chilean nature photographer Enrique Couve, opens the door to travelers. The seven spacious rooms are warmly decorated, with beds draped with down comforters. Each accommodation has its own large, private bath. Vicente is a wealth of information about Patagonian and Fuegian lore. Hostería Yendegaia also has a good restaurant.
