Osorno isn’t much to look at, many claim. Admittedly, it isn’t as beautiful as Valdivia or full of exciting outdoor sports as Pucón. This city is more used as an overnight resting post for travelers just coming over the border from Bariloche, Argentina, before moving on to more fascinating destinations. Nonetheless, Osorno does have a few things of note — a list that is growing with the construction boom: a new casino on the west bank of the Río Rahue, luxury hotels and other buildings in the effort to improve Osorno’s image.
