Oficina Municipal de Turismo has a kiosk office on the Plaza de Armas (Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., weekends and holidays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Calle Mackenna, Tel.: 21-8740, E-mail: turismo@municipalidadosorno.cl). Sernatur also has an office which is understaffed (Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m., 2:30-5:30, Edificio Gobernación Provincial, O´Higgins 667, Tel.: 23-4104 / 23-7575).

Money
Most banks are around the Plaza de Armas. They have the usual banking hours, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. All of the following have ATMs that accept MasterCArd, Cirrus, Visa and Plus, except where noted:

Communications
Correo Chile will be happy to post your letter (Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. O’Higgins 607). Internet in Osorno averages $0.60-1 per hour; however, the cheaper ones are generally slow. A reliable one is Cyber Café del Patio, which has Skype and charges $0.80 per hour. For clients with munchies, it also sells snacks and refreshments (Monday-Saturday 9:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m.). On Errázuriz near the bus terminal are several internet / phone providers. Centro de Llamadas has internet for $0.80 per hour and international calls from $0.20 per minute (daily 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Errázuriz 1329).

Medical
Hospital Base is the public health facility (Avenida Guillermo Bühler 1765, Tel.: 25-9200). Cruz Verde, Ahumada and other pharmacies are on Ramírez, between Calle Cochrane and the Plaza de Armas.

Laundry
Lavandería Limpec is one place to go to get the duds clean before dealing with officialdom at the border. It charges $8.40 per basket (holds four to five kilos / nine to 11 pounds of clothes) and has same-day service (Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Saturday 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Prat 678).
